Time sure does fly! At Kokanee Mountain Zipline, we are celebrating our 10th summer of operations, marking a solid decade of providing you with thrilling, eco-friendly outdoor adventures in the heart of beautiful British Columbia.

Ten years is a significant anniversary for any business … and we are proud to admit that it has not been without its challenges! Over that time, Kokanee Mountain Zipline have dodged three forest fires within a kilometre of the rides, the COVID outbreak, and the occasional beetle infestation.

As a Nelson, BC tourist attraction, we understand the great responsibility to treat the environment with respect, and it’s a job we take at Kokanee Mountain Zipline very seriously. We have commissioned bird surveys to ensure the ziplines are not affecting local wildlife - and our zipliners are not allowed to bring food on the course to ensure nothing is left behind for say, our local bears. Yes, the bears are down there in the trees - we even named one Yeti and she had cubs! Cigarettes and Vaping are also forbidden on tour to protect the beauty of our forests.  

Over the years, the staff at Kokanee Mountain Zipline have worked hand in hand with The Central Kootenay Invasive Species Society (CKISS) to help mitigate invasive weeds in the area and keep the local environment healthy.

With almost a mile of total ziplines to glide along, enjoy the adrenaline rush as you whip out over 44 hectares of old Douglas fir and pine forests. Led from platform to platform by our experienced guides, the six Kokanee MountainZiplines range in speed and height so there’s something for every outdoor adventure seeker.  Most tours take between 90 minutes and two hours, so you’ve still got plenty of time left in your day to explore the other summer activities that beautiful Nelson, BC has to offer.
